The Adult Education Department at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº (ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº) will offer free General Education Development (GED) classes and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes at various locations throughout the area this spring. All students must in enroll in an orientation session before beginning classes. See schedule/contact information below:

Phi Theta Kappa goes Christmas Caroling
Members of the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Alpha Mu Chi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa spent time spreading good cheer over the holiday break. A group of members went Christmas Caroling door-to-door on December 23. ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Professor Dr. Paula Wilhite was among the Mount Pleasant residents who received a surprise serenade. She commented in a recent Facebook post: "The best of the best! Thanks for the wonderful music..."

It's time to laugh away the winter blues at Northeast Texas Community†College! Sinbad, of television and standup comedy fame, will perform live†at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m.

Robin Sharp appointed to ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Board
At a special called meeting Thursday, the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Board of Trustees appointed Robin Sharp to fill the unexpired term of the place six board seat recently vacated by Bill Priefert. Sharp will be sworn in at the next regular board meeting in January.
Sharp is Executive Vice President at Guaranty Bond Bank. He has 29 years experience in banking. Sharp earned his bachelorπs degree from Texas Tech University, attended the American British College in Barcelona, Spain, and continued his education at Southwestern Graduate School of Banking.
