Carroll Shelby Foundation gives $25,000 for scholarships

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Eagles Softball program will host an Alumni Game on Saturday, Oct. 11 at Eagle Field. All ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Softball alumni are invited to come enjoy friendly competition and fellowship with the current team and coaching staff. † † †Rodeo fans will get to see more than 300 athletes from throughout the Southern Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) compete for points and prizes next weekend as ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ its 25th annual rodeo. The event will be held October 9-11 at the Mount Pleasant City Arena on Greenhill Road.


† † †Rodeo action will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and at 2 p.m.

Women's soccer update

† † †The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ (ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ) Women?s Eagles Soccer team won two of four games this past week. The Eagles defeated Western Texas College and Paris Junior College, but fell to Jacksonville College and third ranked Tyler Junior College.


† † †Melanie Barnes kicked off the game against Paris on Saturday with a goal seven minutes in, assisted by Imelda Pina.

Pleasant Sams club gives scholarship

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Foundation recently received a $500 scholarship from the Pleasant Sams, the Mount Pleasant Chapter of the Good Sam Club of America. This year?s gift will benefit a student studying nursing at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ. The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ (ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ) Men?s Eagles Soccer team split two games this week defeating Jacksonville College and falling to Tyler Junior College (ranked third in the nation) in overtime. The Eagles remain†ranked seventh in the nation according to the National Junior College Athletic Association coaches poll this week.

† † † The 10th Annual Tommy Lee Bike Run was held September 20 during Pittsburg?s Pioneer Days.††The day kicked off with a parade led by dozens and dozens of motorcycles and their riders sporting the infamous black t-shirts†commemorating the 10th anniversary of this charity Bike Run.
