Eagles end season in championship heartbreaker against San Jacinto

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Eagles Baseball team just missed out a trip to the JUCO World Series Wednesday after a heartbreaking 8-7 loss against San Jacinto College in the Region 14 championship game.

After going scoreless in the first inning, both teams? strong offenses got fired up in the second. San Jac scored two and ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº answered with a three-run homer by Matt Scheurich to take the lead. San Jac managed to tie things up in the third and take a brief lead in the top of the fourth as they added one more.

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Eagles Baseball team is one step closer to the NJCAA World Series as they beat Galveston College 9-5 Sunday in the Region 14 Tournament. The win came on the heels of an 8-6 win against Blinn College on Saturday.

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº got things moving in the first inning against Galveston, when†Manny Garcia†homered on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.

Eagles Baseball beats Weatherford College 11-9

The†ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Eagles†baseball team beat Weatherford College 11-9 Wednesday in an away game. The Eagles managed through an early push by Weatherford in the first inning where ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº coughed up six runs, but came back to win 11-9.

The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game.†ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôºâ€ collected 15 hits and Weatherford College had eight.

Eagles Baseball wins one, drops two against Ranger

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Eagles baseball team traveled to Ranger College this past weekend and found themselves on the losing side of a three-game series. The Eagles lost the first game 7-6 before coming back to win game two 8-2. Ranger took back the series in game three with a 7-5 win.

In game one, the Eagles tried to recover from a four-run deficit, but the late-game rally was unsuccessful.
