Six Priefert Manufacturing managers completed a 30-hour General Industry Outreach Training as part of a Safety Program Management class taken through ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº. The training was provided at the college's Industrial Technology Training Center through a Skills Development Fund grant provided by the Texas Workforce Commission. Feb. 1 Construction Update - New Developments
There are a couple of new developments regarding campus construction as we begin the week:
? The side door in Humanities that leads to Math/Science and UHS will be closed until further notice due to construction in that area
? The lane of traffic closest to Humanities remains closed for the time being, but should be open Tuesday

Campus construction has been making steady progress over the past few weeks. Below are some things to watch for as we move into the first week of February:

? The sidewalk between UHS and Math/Science will be closed next week and noise may be a concern in classrooms near those areas
Health Science announces upcoming CE courses
The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Health Science division will offer a variety of continuing education courses this spring. These courses do not require a regular college application and it is fast and simple to enroll. Academic Skills Center services have moved
The Academic Skills Center, located in room 109 of the Humanities building, is no longer in operation.†However, the services that were offered in the Academic Skills Center are still available at other locations on campus.
Medical Assistant program accepting applications for Fall 2016
The†ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Medical Assistant program will begin accepting applications for the Fall 2016 semester February 1. If you have visited a doctor?s office in the area recently, there is a good chance you have been cared for by an ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Medical Assistant graduate. These professionals greet patients as they arrive for appointments, process insurance, schedule appointments, answer calls, draw blood, give shots and assist your physician with all aspects of care.
