Free GED/ESL courses offered

The Adult Education Department at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº will offer free General Education Development (GED) classes and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes at various locations throughout the area. Housing Move-In Dates

Fall 2012 Academic Honors

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº is pleased to recognize students who excelled academically in Fall 2012. To be named to the Academic Honors list, a student must have taken 12 or more hours and earned at least a 3.5 grade point average. To be named to the Special Academic Merit List, a student must have taken between seven and 11 hours and earned a 4.0 grade point average.

The Carroll Shelby Foundation recently gave $25,000 to the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Foundation. These funds will provide scholarships to students enrolled in the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Department. Cypress Bank supports The Campaign for the Whatley



Cypress Bank recently presented the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Foundation with a check for $2,500. This gift, part of a total pledge of $5,000, was given in support of The Campaign for the Whatley - a community effort to revitalize the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº. TRMC Auxiliary gives allied health scholarships

The Titus Regional Medical Center (TRMC) Auxiliary recently donated $4,500, which will provide six $750 scholarships to benefit students at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº majoring in an allied health field. ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº holds winter 2012 commencement

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº held its winter 2012 commencement ceremony at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, Dec. 14. During the ceremony 103 students were awarded associate degrees and 77 earned certificates of competency in their chosen fields. John Russo, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº adjunct faculty member in history, gave the commencement address. Chelsea Cates, of Pittsburg, delivered the student response. A special presentation was made to LaSonya Feltus, who received a†posthumous†degree on behalf of her late husband, Edd Feltus.
