To receive this award, an employee must be caught practicing overt wellness behavior and attitude.†The Wellness Committee is on the lookout for a May recipient!â€
Here are a few words about Richard's personal wellness plan?
I am honored and somewhat surprised to be named April?s fittest employee.†In December of 2012 I had my 60th†birthday and did little in the way of physical activity outside of some yard work.†At the beginning of the year I decided to make a genuine effort to lose some weight by eating healthier and getting more exercise.†It wasn?t really a New Year?s resolution,†it just seemed like a good time to start. ††I try to limit my daily calorie intake to around 1200 to 1500 calories and I work out for 1 hour every afternoon after work on a treadmill (combination of jogging and brisk walking).†Since January 2nd†(had to wait until New Year?s Day football games were over), I have lost a total of 37 pounds and dropped two pants? sizes.†If I can do this at the age of 60, anyone should be able to make a few simple changes in their lifestyle to be healthier.†Thanks for the recognition, it is greatly appreciated.
