Jessica Keith named new head softball coach
†††The Eagles Athletic Department at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº recently announced that Jessica Keith has been hired as the new head softball coach.
†††Keith is no stranger to ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº, as she played third base for the Eagles in 1998 and 1999. She has been the head coach at Ranger College for the past nine years and served as an assistant for two years prior.

Ten students complete CNA program

Fast track police academy begins August 20

†††The Northeast Police Academy at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº will†offer a "fast track" academy beginning August 20, 2012. This day†academy includes physical fitness training and meets from 6:30 a.m. to†5:00 p.m.

†††ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº will host an ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº 101 college readiness †night on Thursday, June 28 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Student Union Building. Representatives from advising, financial aid, admissions, the business office, testing and other areas will be available to assist students.
†††The event is free and open to the public. Both current and prospective students are encouraged to attend.

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº recently completed construction on a new nine-hole disc golf course on the main campus. It is free to use and open to the general public.
The course is located on the east side of the campus and the first tee box is located between the new Student Housing East building and the back of the Eagles Softball field.

Jackson finishes 10th at CNFR
†††Dustin Jackson, a team roping header from ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº, finished the 2011-2012 season at 10th in the nation last week at the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) in Casper, Wyoming.
†††Jackson was partnered with heeler Corey Hendrick of Wharton County Junior College. The team missed their final steer in the short round, dashing their hopes of a higher finish.
