SIFE to host 5K run/walk at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ

The†Students In Free Enterprise†(SIFE) organization at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ will host a 5K Reindeer Run/Walk event on Saturday, Dec. 8th. The run will be held on the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ campus and begins at 8 a.m.

Registration will be held in front of†the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ campus from 7:00-7:30 a.m. The cost to participate is $25 for all ages, and includes a t-shirt and a pancake breakfast after the run.

Registration underway at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ



Registration for the spring 2013 semester is currently underway at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ. Students may also register for the holiday intersession term.




Intersession classes are December 17 through January 7. Both online and face-to-face courses are available. These intensive classes allow dedicated students to earn full college credit in about 12 class days. Spring 2013 classes begin on Monday, Jan.

Texas Tenors to perform Christmas show

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ will host the Texas Tenors live on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The concert,†Deep In the Heart of Christmas,†will feature holiday classics like†O Holy Night†²¹²Ô»å†Joy to the World†in addition to many of their well-known favorites.†



Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for students.

Cypress Bank sponsors Texas Tenors performance

Cypress Bank recently gave $3,000 to sponsor The Texas Tenors' upcoming performance at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ. Eagles softball to host open tryout

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Eagles Softball program will host an open tryout and evaluation day on Sunday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. at the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ softball field. The event is open to girls who will graduate from high school in 2013 or 2014. This evaluation will give athletes a chance to showcase their skills in hitting, fielding, throwing, base running, catching, and pitching. All athletes should plan to bring a glove, bat, batting helmet, and cleats. Catchers will need to bring their own personal catching gear.

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Welder's Association to hold trailer drawing

† † †The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Welder's Association will hold a drawing for a 16' tandem axle angle top trailer on February 7. 2013. This trailer was built by ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ students and materials were donated by local businesses. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Contact Marcos Sanchez at 903-767-6537 or stop by the welding shop to purchase chances.
