Culinary arts to host buffet nights
The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Culinary Arts Program will host three special Buffet Nights during the month of November. These will be held †at the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Culinary Institute in historic downtown Pittsburg and are open to the public.
Dinners will be held†from 6-8 p.m.†on November 8, 15 and 29. Seating is restaurant-style and to-go orders will be available as quantities allow. The cost is $10 per person.
Annual ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ College Night set for November 28
The Annual College Night, sponsored by ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ, is†set for Wednesday, Nov. 28 in the Student Union Building (SUB) at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ.
Colleges and universities will have representatives on hand from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. to provide admissions and financial aid information to high school†students and their parents. All students from ninth to twelfth grade and ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ students are invited to attend.
In addition having the chance to speak with ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ advisors, students can meet recruiters from many major universities.

Mike Craig Ford in Gilmer recently donated the 2012 Ford F-250 4x4 pictured above to the Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Department at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ. This is the second truck that the dealership has donated to the program.
Northeast Police Academy to hold day, evening programs

The Northeast Police Academy at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ will offer both day and evening academy options beginning in early 2013. Both programs will be held in the state-of-the-art criminal justice facility on the main ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ campus.
The 17-week daytime fast-track academy will begin on January 14. Courses meet from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Foundation recently held its annual golf tournament at the Mount Pleasant Country Club. This was the 25th†consecutive year of the tournament. Gold sponsors for the event were AEP-Swepco, American National Bank, Capps Insurance, Guaranty Bond Bank, Luminant, Northeast Texas Credit Union and Scrubbies Wash USA. Silver sponsors were EDH Electric, Texas Heritage National Bank, Big Tex, Elliott Motors and Redfearn Real Estate.
