Weekend EMR class planned

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Emergency Medical Services program will hold an introductory coursein emergency care, called Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) from March 16 to May 25.

The EMR course is the first level for emergency medical personnel.† The EMR class provides the student with basic skills and knowledge necessary to assess and care for ill or injured people until professional advanced care arrives.††Those currently working or volunteering in daycares, youth camps, schools, industries, firedepartments, and law enforcement agencies can benefit with this training.

Duck Commander to appear at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº

The Duck Commander is headed to ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº! Phil Robertson and his youngest son, Jep, of†Duck Dynasty†fame, will appear on the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº campus on Saturday, April 6.


This event is hosted by the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Foundation and will take place at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº's Bob Baker Stadium. Tickets will go on sale on Monday, Feb. 25.†All tickets are $20 and include a meal and admission to hear Phil speak.

Celtic Crossroads to perform at Whatley Center

Just when you think that you have seen the best that Irish music has to offer, a fresh new show from Ireland is taking the art form to an entirely†new level. Celtic Crossroads, a group of young performers who present Irish music like never before, will bring the Emerald Isle to Northeast Texas for an afternoon.


The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº will host their show, The Gathering, on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 2:30 p.m.

Education Summit planned for Feb. 7

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº will host its second Education Summit on Thursday, February 7 from 7-10 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The general public is invited to attend. The Education Summit is the kick-off event for the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº strategic planning process that will take place over the coming months. Harmony High School financial aid night scheduled
