Pleasant Sams give annual scholarship

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Foundation recently received a $500 scholarship from the Pleasant Sams, the Mount Pleasant Chapter of the Good Sam Club of America. This year?s gift will benefit a student studying criminal justice at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº. †Nita May, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Director of Development (seated far left) and Dr. Jonathan McCullough, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Vice President for Advancement (standing far left) receive the gift on behalf of the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Foundation. Former Eagle named VBL D-Bat Player of the Week

Former ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Eagle Baseball player Matt Durst is having a great summer in the Valley Baseball League. Playing for the Charles Town Cannons, Durst was named D-Bat Player of the Week on Monday, June 17. According to a ,†Durst played in six games that week and recorded at least one hit in five of them. He finished the week batting .409 (9-for-22) with two double, a triple and a home run. The rising junior at Southern Mississippi added eight RBIs, four runs, a sacrifice fly and a stolen base.

Theatre Northeast presents Crimes of the Heart

Theatre Northeast will present the 1981 Pulitzer Prize and New York Drama Critics Circle Award Winning Comedy-Drama†Crimes of the Heart†by Beth Henley.††The play will be in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº. It will run July 18-20 at 7:30 p.m.
