Honors Northeast brings home two poster awards from conference

Honors Northeast, the honors program of ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº, recently continued its tradition of success among its peers in the Great Plains Honors Council with the poster awards of William Jones and Gabriela Quezada.†Jones won the behavioral science division of those with fewer than 60 hours of college completed, while the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº sophomore, Gabriela Quezada, won in the professional division for those with more than 60 hours.††ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº won two of the six poster awards given at the meeting.†††Jones and Quezada both were awarded $50 prizes.

Nursing inducts 15 into Alpha Delta Nu honor society

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº nursing program†recently inducted 15 students into its Gamma Omicron chapter of the Alpha Delta Nu Honor Society. This is a national honor society of the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN). In order to be selected for membership, students must maintain a 3.0 or above GPA and have earned a grade of B or better in each nursing class after two semester of coursework.

? Work is currently moving to the area behind BT and near the welding/auto body shop.

? The back two doors of the BT building and the parking lot between IT and the welding/auto body shop are closed for the time being.

? There will be no through passage between IT and the Whatley Center for approximately two more weeks.

? Please use caution on that entire side of campus and look out for heavy machinery and workers.


Phi Theta Kappa wins big at Texas Regional Conference

Alpha Mu Chi (AMC), ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº's chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), recently attended the Texas Regional Convention. The event honors PTK chapters and even individual members.

Helen Hampton sponsors Pinkalicious

Helen Hampton (center) sponsored the April 3 performance of the popular children?s musical ?Pinkalicious" at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº. She is pictured with cast members at the VIP Tea Party with Pink held after the show. ?Pinkalicious" marked the end of the Whatley Center?s 2015-2016 season. The lineup for next year?s shows will be announced this summer.
