ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ and Texas A&M University-Texarkana officials signed an articulation agreement today at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ, formalizing a partnership benefiting students who wish to attain baccalaureate degrees.

The agreement creates a seamless transition for students enrolled in†ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ?s†Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist Assistant, Community Health and Funeral Services programs to transfer to Texas A&M University-Texarkana?s Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences program.

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Presidential Scholars, Jessica Velazquez of Mount Vernon and Angelica Fuentes of Mount Pleasant were recently awarded Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarships. These prestigious awards cover up to $40,000†annually at a university of the student?s choice for up to three†years. Only†75 students were selected from more than 2,000 top applicants in a very competitive process for this national honor.

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ recently announced that its library has been renamed the Charlie and Helen Hampton Learning Resource Center (LRC). The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve the new building name in their April board meeting. This is the first name change in a recently-launched fundraising/naming campaign by the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Foundation. The naming campaign comes as the campus interior undergoes a major transformation.
