You may have noticed some new construction happening by the Student Union Building these last couple of weeks. ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ's new Unity Center is officially underway and is scheduled for completion sometime in April. The Unity Center will be an outdoor student gathering space connected to SUB 101. It will feature plenty of comfortable seating and space for the campus community to enjoy nice weather and host special events. The project is funded by the Title V grant and Stansell Construction is the builder. Look for information about a ribbon cutting ceremony soon!

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Foundation held its annual business meeting on Tuesday, April 18th in the Community Room on the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ campus. This is the one time each year that the Foundation Board gathers to address action items and hear reports from various departments and subcommittees.

We are excited to host the Arrive Alive Tour on the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ campus Monday, March 10th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM in front of the Student Union Building (SUB). This interactive event brings awareness to the dangers of impaired and distracted driving through a high-tech simulator that provides a firsthand experience of how dangerous these behaviors can be.

Get ready for an afternoon of powerful music and uplifting spirit as gospel artist Jimmy Smith, Jr. returns to the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts for a soul-stirring concert on Sunday, February 23, at 2:30 p.m.
