The annual ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Rodeo will return to the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Grounds October 9–11, 2025. You won’t want to miss the chance to see ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Eagles Rodeo athletes go up against some of the top competitors in the Southern Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.
ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ (ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ) is turning 40, and the community is invited to join the party! Since welcoming its first students in 1985, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ has proudly served the region for four decades. To celebrate, the college is hosting a 40th Anniversary Community Picnic on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the main campus plaza near the Eagles Nest Pavilion.

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Eagles Baseball team welcomed about 30 young athletes to campus last weekend for a fun-filled kids camp. Youth ages 5-12 had the opportunity to learn baseball fundamentals, practice their skills, and play alongside ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ players.

I graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1988. At that time, students in the top 10% of their class were given the incredible opportunity to attend ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ tuition-free until they completed an associate’s degree. My parents encouraged me to take advantage of this, especially since I had a vision condition that brought financial and medical challenges for my family. Though I was initially frustrated—since many of my friends were heading straight to four-year universities—I agreed to visit ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ.

My name is Jason Moss I graduated from MPISD in 1998. At the time, I didn’t know where I wanted to go or what fields I might be interested in studying. My counselor told me I could apply for the MPISD scholarship at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ and suggested I write a one-page essay and submit it. I had never really been to a college campus before, and that opportunity led me to choose ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ to begin my journey.
