Baseball to host First Responders Appreciation Day on April 26th

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Athletic Department will host a First Responders Appreciation Day on Saturday, April 26, 2025. ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Baseball will be hosting Angelina College that day in a double header game starting at 1:00pm.

First Responders will get in free, receive a free hot dog, chips and a drink as well as be recognized prior to the first pitch. Just bring you badge or work ID or official department gear to receive free admission and the free snacks.

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº (ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº) Baseball Team is proud to announce the generous support of , whose recent donation has made it possible to purchase and install a brand-new scoreboard at Eagle Field.

This meaningful contribution will significantly enhance the game-day experience for players, fans, and the local community. The new scoreboard not only improves functionality and visibility but also represents a renewed investment in the future of ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Athletics.

Agriculture brings home honors from TJCAA Conference in Kingsville

Each spring, the Texas Junior College Agriculture Association (TJCAA) hosts one of the most anticipated events of the year for community college ag students across the state. This year’s conference and competition, held April 2–4 at Texas A&M University–Kingsville, was no exception—and ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº (ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº) was proud to be well represented by an incredible group of students who brought their passion, knowledge, and teamwork to South Texas.

Under the supervision of the Athletic Director/Director of Housing, this position assists in the daily operations of the Athletic/Housing Programs by maintaining and handling all records and communications within the program and by receiving students and visitors.

Under general supervision of the Director of Plant Services, the Maintenance/Repair employee is responsible for assistance in maintaining the college physical plant.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Works with various kind of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment common to the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC trades.

2. Repairs and maintains various types of existing electrical, plumbing, and HVAC installations.

Carroll Shelby Foundation gives $25,000 to support automotive program

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Foundation recently received a $25,000 gift from the Carroll Shelby Foundation. Pictured receiving the donation (from left) is Nita May, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Director of Development and Dr. Jon McCullough, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Executive Vice President for Advancement. The funds will be used to support ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôºâ€™s Carroll Shelby Automotive Program.

Work4College Program receives $25,000 grant

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Foundation recently received a $25,000 grant from an anonymous foundation. Thanks to an additional matching grant opportunity, the funds will be doubled for a $50,000 impact.
