Photo Contest Deadline Extended

The deadline for the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Alphabet Photography Contest has been extended to Monday, Feb. 27. The contest is open to ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº students, employees and the general public.†Cash prizes totaling $500 will be given for winning photographs.



Each photo should creatively depict one letter ? either N, T or C.

Eagles softball wins one, drops one to Connors State

The Eagles softball team moved to 3-7 Saturday as they picked up a split in a double header with visiting Connors State.

With both teams battling frigid temperatures, it was the Eagles that came away with a 3-2 victory in game one.

The Eagles took advantage of their three hits to score their three runs in the contest and held off the Cowgirls late to get the win.

The Cowgirls grabbed a quick lead in the top of the second inning on a fielder?s choice play with the bases loaded but the Eagles answered with three runs in the bottom of the inning.

Eagles baseball team splits at Weatherford

The Eagles baseball team moved its record to 3-3 Tuesday as the squad split a double-header at Weatherford College.

It took extra-inning heroics for the Eagles to pick up a win in game one as Matt Durst drove in the game-winning runs with a two-RBI single in the top of the eighth inning to secure a 3-1 victory.

A pitcher?s duel throughout, Weatherford took the lead in the bottom of the second inning with a sacrifice fly by Cody Semier.

Eagles host free baseball/softball kids camp, Ks for Kids Day on Saturday

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Eagles baseball and softball teams will host a special Ks for Kids Day at the ballpark on Saturday, Feb. 18.

The day will begin with a free kids camp at 10 a.m., followed by home doubleheaders for ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº baseball and softball. In addition to offering a day of fun for the whole family, this event will mark the official kickoff of the Ks for Kids campaign, which will raise funds for the Women and Children's Center at Titus Regional Medical Center.

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº will recognize Black History Month with two separate events during February.

The Brother To Brother Organization will host the "Outspoken African American History" program as a way to pay tribute to African American heroes throughout history.

The event will be held at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on February 22 from noon to 1 p.m.
