Pat Wommack of Lone Star recently gave $1,000 to benefit the ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ†Campaign for the Whatley. This gift was made in honor of Mrs. Wommack's daughter-in-law, Kim Wommack, who is a Professor of Art and Division Director for Creative and Performing Arts at ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ. The goal for the campaign is to raise $750,000 over the next three years to help update the aging performing arts facility. The Adult Education Department at ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ will offer free General Education Development (GED) classes and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes at various locations throughout the area. Students interested in attending classes must enroll in a 12-hour orientation. The information regarding dates/locations of classes is included below:

Al and Sue Havenstrite recently agreed to serve as chair of the ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ†Campaign for the Whatley. The goal for the campaign is to raise $750,000 over the next three years to enhance the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Guaranty Bond Bank recently gave $3,000 to ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ to underwrite the Tuesday, Dec. 13 Cherish the Ladies Christmas concert at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ recently held a ceremony to recognize 11 students who successfully completed the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) program. Those graduating from the program included: Back row (from left) Evette Alford, instructor; Rachel Smith of Talco; Lori Tursam of Pittsburg; Billie Kealer of Pittsburg; Jessica Lewis of Naples and Kelly Brindley of Pittsburg.

The Flight of the Phoenix Aviation Museum in Gilmer recently donated $1,000 to benefit the Auto Body portion of the Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology program at ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ.
