When Titus County Reads came to Corprew Elementary School to give a book to each student on the campus, the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Eagles Baseball team came along to help. The players helped students select their books and then sat with them in the Library to read the books and talk about what they had read.

?We?d like to thank Titus County Reads for donating these books so every student on the Corprew campus could choose a book of their own,? said MPISD Director of Communication Dr. Judith Saxton. ?For some of these students this may be the very first book they own.

Dolls for Nepal†is an organization dedicated to relieving the stress caused by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal on April 25^th, 2015. Operations are underway to rescues those trapped as well as providing medical assistance to those who are in urgent need.†Dolls for Nepal†will act in the next phase of the response by providing clean water, food, clothing, and shelter to Nepalese in need.

Each year, for the past two years, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ honors sophomores have been asked, ?what professor at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ best challenged you to go above and beyond your standard performance in learning??† This year the sophomores chose Dr. Mary Hearron.

Each year, for the past two years, immediate honors alumni have been asked, ?what professor at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ best prepared you for the standards that you encountered at the university??† This year, Dr.

 

 

Miranda Mendoza, a ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ sophomore Honors Scholar and Vice President of the college?s PTK chapter, has won the two-year $48,000 Francis Monaghan Excellence Scholarship to attend the University of St. Thomas in Houston.

Mendoza also has received lucrative offers from the University of Arkansas, and St. Edward?s University in Austin.† She is choosing St.

Shirley Clay†presents Bob Fenton†with a gift basket†for being named ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ?s Fittest Employee†of the Month†for April.†To receive this award, an employee must†be caught practicing†overt wellness behavior and attitude.†
