Wesley Fellowship resumes free Tuesday lunches

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Wesley Fellowship has resumed their weekly lunches. Volunteers from the Wesley Fellowship provide free lunch and fellowship for ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº students at the Wesley Student Center (north of the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº campus off FM 1735) on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to join Rev. Allyson Penny and the Wesley crew for a new season of joy! Follow them on for the latest updates on events and activities at the Wesley Student Center.

Emergency alert system test planned

ATTENTION: ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº STUDENTS, FACULTY & STAFF

It is critical that the campus community is quickly informed in the event of an emergency at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº. As we kick off a new school year, it is important that everyone is made aware of what to do and how to make sure they receive emergency alerts. We will be conducting a test of our alert system on Tuesday, Sept. 13th at 9:45 a.m.

Please read the information below to make sure you are signed up to receive alerts and informed about what to do in an emergency situation.

Job fair planned for September 20th

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº will host a job fair on Tuesday, September 20th from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. in the Student Union Building (SUB). The event is open to the public in addition to ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº students. Recruiters from local business and industry will be in attendance. The following have confirmed that they will be represented (more will likely be added):

UT Tyler representative coming to campus

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Career and Transfer team will host Annie Garcia, UT Tyler Admissions Coordinator, on Wednesday, Sept. 14 in the SUB from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is to help inform ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº students about what degrees UT Tyler offers and what requirements are needed for each degree. Mrs. Garcia will waive application fees ($60) for students who apply during her visit.
