ITTC to add CNC Operator certificate
ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ announced on Thursday an important expansion of its training opportunities at the Industrial Technology Training Center in Mount Pleasant.†Thanks to a partnership with the Mount Pleasant Economic Development Corporation and Workforce Solutions Northeast, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ will soon offer a certificate program in Computer Numerical Controls (CNC) Operator at the ITTC.

Honors Northeast seeks submissions for poetry contest
The eighth annual Northeast Texas Poetry Contest and Reading is again open to the public.†Amateur, accomplished or aspiring poets of any age are welcome to submit their best poem on the topic of life in Northeast Texas.†Poets are encouraged to accent or enliven the sense of the surroundings, the people, the culture or the history of our region.†The deadline date for submission is August 28 at noon. Cypress Bank-Lone Star supports Honors Northeast
Cypress Bank-Lone Star recently presented a high-end laptop for the use of ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Honors students. This year?s recipient, Cruz Gallegos (pictured center), was the 2015 Valedictorian at Daingerfield High School. Dr. Andrew Yox, Honors Director (left) and Billie Sue Hanson, Cypress Bank-Lone Star Vice President (right) are pictured making the presentation. Due to increased demand, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ will add an additional date for new students to attend myEagle Orientation. Any first-time student who has not yet attended orientation and plans to take classes at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ this fall should make plans to sign up for this final session on Wednesday, Aug. 5.

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ board approves bond issuance, hires construction manager
The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Board of Trustees approved the issuance of limited tax bonds not to exceed $10 million at a special meeting July 14. This will allow ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ to begin work on the campus renewal plan that voters approved in May.
ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ signs partnership with Texas A&M-Texarkana
ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ and Texas A&M University-Texarkana officials signed a dual admissions agreement today at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ, formalizing a partnership benefitting students who wish to attain baccalaureate degrees. Officials also signed a financial aid consortium allowing ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ and A&M-Texarkana students to be concurrently enrolled without disruption to their financial aid award.
