Four graduate from CDL program

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Professional Driving Academy continues to grow and supply high-demand CDL drivers to the local area. Four new students recently graduated from the program. If you are looking for something fun to do this Saturday, head to downtown Pittsburg and check out the Texas Hot Link Festival. The excitement begins at 10 a.m. and will feature a variety of food, vendors, concerts and events. The festival is commemorating the 100th birthday of Carroll Shelby with several of the day's events themed around the late racing legend. These will include a car show hosted by the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Shelby Automotive Program (starting at 10 a.m.

Softball sweeps series with Navarro College

Weather once again played with the schedule for ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Athletics. ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Softball moved the two-game series with Navarro College to Tuesday, April 25th to get ahead of the rains. The Eagles took game one 8-5 and game two 5-3 to earn the sweep against the Bulldogs.

Foundation raises $244,730 on East Texas Giving Day

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Foundation finished East Texas Giving Day at the top of the leaderboard for the second year in a row this Tuesday. ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº raised a whopping $244,730 via the annual fundraising event that has become a regional tradition.

In addition to raising the most money, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº also finished with the highest number of donations at 208. Nita May, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Director of Development and event organizer, said that these numbers reflect the enthusiasm and effort put forth by ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº employees, students and community members.
