Information session planned for Boston travel study trip

Have you been bitten by the travel bug? ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº is planning an exciting travel study trip to Boston next year from May 18-22. This is a great opportunity to explore one of the nation's most historic, iconic cities while earning college credit. An informational session is planned for Tuesday, Sept. 26th at 12:30 p.m. in Humanities 107. Anyone who has an interest in the trip is encouraged to attend.

PURPOSE:

  • In conjunction with college administration, the Police Chief will develop and lead a "to be formed" ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Police Department. The safety and security of ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôºâ€™s students, employees, and visitors will be the primary focus of the police department.

Amador, Smith, & Sellars named 2023 Leaders of Promise

Yoana Amador and Madellynn Smith were among two of 213 Phi Theta Kappa members named a 2023 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholar and will each receive a $1000 scholarship. Vinson Sellars was selected as one of twenty-five 2023 Coca-Cola Military Leaders of Promise Scholars and will also receive a $1000 scholarship. Applicants are selected based on outstanding academic achievement and demonstrated leadership potential, competing against nearly 1100 applicants.

Art department hosts artist reception with Frank Herbert

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Art Department hosted an artist reception with Frank Herbert on Wednesday in the Whatley Center foyer. Herbert's art will remain on display in the Whatley gallery through Thursday, September 21st. The exhibit is free to view during regular college business hours.

Soccer drops season openers

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Soccer teams hosted Angelina College in their season and conference opener. The Women’s team fell 17-0 and the Men lost 2-0 on Friday.

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Women's soccer team began their conference campaign with a lopsided 17-0 loss on Friday day to nationally ranked Angelina College.

PURPOSE:

Faculty required to teach on-campus courses. The primary purpose of this position is the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction, academic advising, serving on various committees, and participating in local, state, regional, and national professional activities and organizations. An instructor performs all other duties as directed by the appropriate program director, Dean, Vice President for Instruction, or the President.
