Eagles Baseball continues winning streak
The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Eagles (ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº) baseball team dominated Pratt Community College this weekend, winning four out of four games.
The highlight of the series was a 12-run shutout Saturday evening pitched by Tim Winders. Friday?s game was a series of back and forth runs every inning with local pitcher Brandon Colbert from Pittsburg pitching the lion's share of the game. Colbert racked up eight strikeouts in four-and-a-half innings.
ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº softball kicks off spring season
The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Lady Eagles Softball team split two doubleheaders with the Temple Junior College Leopards to start their season. They kicked off the series with a 10-0 win on Friday and dropped their nightcap 3-2. The Lady Eagles started off the day on Saturday with an 8-0 win and dropped the second game in another one-run barn burner, 4-3.
?We scheduled to play Temple at the last minute and we had just started practicing on the field and coming together as a team.

Bestselling author and motivational speaker, Laura Schroff, spoke at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts this week. As a way of giving back to his community and career, Carroll Shelby funded the startup of the Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Program at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº, located in Mount Pleasant, Texas. The program provides an avenue for motorsports-minded students to develop their skills in prepartion of working as technicians in the motorsports industry.

Chamber of Commerce names Judy Jackson Woman of the Year
Congratulations to our very own Judy Jackson! She was presented with the Drucilla Pruitt Memorial Woman of the Year Award at Thursday's Pittsburg-Camp County Chamber of Commerce banquet. Allen Weatherford (pictured right) presented Judy with the award. Judy was acknowledged for her years of active service for both ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº and other Camp County causes.
