ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ

A combination of widespread power outages, thunderstorm damage and dangerous summer heat left thousands of Northeast Texas residents without access to basic necessities last week. Thankfully, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ was able to assist a few of them by providing a safe, cool place to stay.

Thirteen families and representatives from the Texas A&M Forest Service disaster response team found a temporary home in ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ’s dormitories over the weekend and into this week.

It is officially summer at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ and the campus is buzzing with activity. Over the next few weeks, we will highlight some of the special programs taking place at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ this summer. This week’s Summer Spotlight feature is Summer Success!

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Adult Education Department will be offering free Fast Track GED classes this summer both in-person and virtually. Registration/orientation will run from June 20-July 10, 2023 and classes will begin July 11 and run through August 17.
