Jessica Velasquez, a 2016 ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº graduate, and winner of two Jack Kent Cooke Scholarships, has just won an award in research from the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). Velasquez’s study was based on work she performed last summer at the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Training Program, an end-of-life care unit for cancer patients living in Puerto Rico.

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Men’s Soccer team defeated Paris Junior College 5-0 on Saturday, October 22nd to earn a trip to the National Junior College Athletic Association playoffs. Goalie Enzo Camps (France) came up big with 7 saves in the win.
The Adult Education Department at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº is accepting new and returning students for its GED (General Educational Development) and ESL (English as a Second Language) programs.
The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Carroll Shelby Student Auto Club is having a fund-raising chili cook-off to honor Carroll Shelby’s 100th birthday. All monies will go to support the club’s activities.
