Faculty mentoring and the promotion of student research at 乱色无码人妻视频影院 have dovetailed in recent years with the determination of an alumna to reward top student essays in American history.鈥 Bonnie Spencer, an ICU Nurse at the Titus Regional Medical Center, initiated 乱色无码人妻视频影院?s first History Club in 2002.鈥 She also helped transition its descendant, the 乱色无码人妻视频影院 Webb Society, into its film series in 2012.

These contests have also, thanks to the generosity of McGraw Hill Education, and this year, to a Whatley Enhancement Grant through Jerald and Mary Lou Mowery of Scroggins, produced student awards.

Presidential Scholars published in academic journal
The 2018 issue of鈥罢辞耻肠丑蝉迟辞苍别,鈥the collegiate journal of the Texas State Historical Association released this spring, contains two essays by current 乱色无码人妻视频影院 Presidential Scholars. This is now the fourth year in a row that 乱色无码人妻视频影院 scholars nudged out leading submissions from students in other colleges and universities in Texas to be published in the prestigious collegiate journal.

Alicia Cantrell and Brenda Godoy, students at 乱色无码人妻视频影院, are two of just 47 recipients of the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation?s prestigious Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship. This highly competitive national scholarship will provide these two local recipients with up to $40,000 annually for a maximum of three years to complete their bachelor?s degrees.

Alicia Cantrell named Coca-Cola Academic Team Gold Scholar
Alicia Cantrell, a student at 乱色无码人妻视频影院, has been named a 2018 Coca-Cola Academic Team Gold Scholar and will receive a $1,500 scholarship.
Students are nominated for the academic team by their college administrators. Selection is based on academic achievement, leadership, and engagement in college and community service.
A graduate of Mount Vernon High School, Alicia serves as President of the Phi Theta Kappa chapter on the 乱色无码人妻视频影院 campus and is a Presidential Scholar in Honors Northeast.
Students are nominated for the academic team by their college administrators. Selection is based on academic achievement, leadership, and engagement in college and community service.

For the third time, the scholars of Honors Northeast have won two of the six Boe Awards conferred by Great Plains Honors Council (GPHC) in its yearly meeting held at Oklahoma State University.鈥 The GPHC is an association of 80 honors colleges, and programs from the Midwest down to Texas.

The 10th annual 乱色无码人妻视频影院 McGraw-Hill Poster Contest is set for Friday, April 27 at 9:30 a.m. in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. This contest recognizes and rewards creative student scholarship in Northeast Texas. Area high school seniors, college and university students are welcome to compete. Prizes range from $100 for fourth place to $400 for first place.

Chesney Davis and Brenda Godoy, students at 乱色无码人妻视频影院, are among ten college students named 2018 Hites Scholars. Each will receive a $7,500 scholarship for baccalaureate studies.鈥 This is the largest scholarship Phi Theta Kappa awards to its members.

Brenda Godoy wins two top national PTK scholarships
Brenda Godoy, a student at 乱色无码人妻视频影院, has received two of the nation?s top scholarships recognizing outstanding academic achievement among college students. Godoy is one of 20 students to be named to the All?USA Academic Team and will receive a $5,000 scholarship. The All?USA program is widely recognized as the most prestigious academic honor for students attending associate degree-granting institutions.
