Carroll Shelby Foundation gives $25,000 for scholarships

Pleasant Sams club gives scholarship

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Foundation recently received a $500 scholarship from the Pleasant Sams, the Mount Pleasant Chapter of the Good Sam Club of America. This year?s gift will benefit a student studying nursing at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº. Tonya Taylor gives nursing scholarships

Tonya Taylor,†Assistant Professor of Nursing at†ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº, recently gave $1,200 to the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Foundation to provide two scholarships for nursing students. The gift was given in memory of Margie Bragg, an ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Nursing graduate from Mount Pleasant who worked in the field for many years. Jackie Baker gives $10,000 scholarship

Jackie Baker of Mount Pleasant recently gave $10,000 †to ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº in order to create an endowed scholarship for the Eagles baseball program. The donation is in memory of her late husband, Bob Baker, who was a long-time ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº board member and was very influential in starting the Eagles baseball program. Pat and David Sistrunk of Tyler recently gave $2,000 to the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Foundation. The gift will sponsor two students in the college?s new Work Scholarship Program. The program allows students the opportunity to volunteer to work at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº doing meaningful work (preferably in a field related to their major) and earning credit (in the form of a scholarship) towards their future college expenses. Texas Pioneer Foundation gives $200,000 to three-college consortium project

Representatives from Kilgore College, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº (ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº) and Texarkana College recently gathered on the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº campus in Mount Pleasant to receive a $200,000 grant from the Texas Pioneer Foundation. The three colleges were awarded the money to†support the†creation of a†consortium†to promote student†success and†college efficiency.

The consortium was organized as an innovative way to upgrade to a new student information system as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.
