ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº men?s rodeo team won third overall at the Texas A&M Kingsville Rodeo two weeks ago, adding another 150 points to their region standings. Those extra points helped the Eagles? ride up to the top when it comes to making the finals.

Dustin Jackson lit up the scoreboard taking home third place in the all-around men?s division.

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Eagles baseball team sits one game behind defending national champion Navarro College in the Region XIV Eastern Conference standing after going 5-1 last week.

The Eagles currently stand 17-8 on the season and 11-5 in conference play after sweeping Central Lakes College and Texarkana College and splitting a double header with Bossier Parish last week.

Eagles softball wins a pair, drops four

The Eagles softball squad picked up their first two conference wins of the season against Lon Morris last week before dropping double headers to Trinity Valley and UT Tyler.

The Eagles wasted no time taking a big lead against Lon Morris in the opening game of their double header as ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº scored four runs in the bottom of the opening inning. Erica Graham brought in the first run with an RBI single to left and Christina Martin brought in two more runs with a single to center moments later.

Holovach named Pitcher of the Week

Eagles freshman pitcher Hannah Holovach was recently named the Region XIV Eastern Conference Pitcher of the Week after winning six straight games at the Murray State Softball Festival in Oklahoma.

Holovach, a freshman from Mansfield, picked up the award after picking up victories for the Eagles against Rose State, Carl Albert, Connors State, Eastern Oklahoma, Frank Phillips and Neosho during tournament play in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.

?It feels great to get this award, especially after all of the hard work we have put in as a team,? Holovach said.
