Dr. Melissa Fulgham shares story of Mount Pleasant female banker at history conference

Dr. Melissa Fulgham was among the over 400 historians from over 20 states who gathered at Texas State University in San Marcos for the inaugural Alliance for Texas History Conference. Fulgham, Professor of History and Division Chair for the Humanities and Social Sciences, continued her efforts to spread the story of Annie McLean Moores Towler.

Dr. Kevin Rose named ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº's sixth president at May board meeting

Dr. Kevin Rose was officially named the sixth President of ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº at the May board of trustees meeting on Tuesday, May 27th. He will transition from his current role as Senior Vice President for Student Success beginning June 1st.

Foundation receives $25,000 donation from Hampton estate

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Foundation recently received a check for $25,000 from the estate of Helen Hampton. The funds are being used to establish the Charlie and Helen Hampton Memorial Endowed Scholarship, which will be awarded to graduates of Paul Pewitt High School. Two graduate from Professional Driving Academy

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Professional Driving Academy continues to grow and supply high-demand CDL drivers to the local area. Two new students recently graduated from the program. 

The four-week professional driving academy includes 160 hours of training and the cost includes the DOT physical, drug screen, MVR and CDL permit. Students spend 50 hours in the classroom and 110 hours on the road driving. The cost is $4,500 and financial aid may be available.

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº delivers Drywall Repair Training for UT Health Pittsburg

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº recently partnered with UT Health Pittsburg to provide a two-day, hands-on Drywall Repair Training for their facilities team. The training, held at the Hanson-Sewell Center in Pittsburg, focused on essential skills such as taping, bedding, spray texturing, and repair best practices.

Two Eagles softball players named to All-Conference Team

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº's Eagles Softball program is proud to announce that two standout student-athletes, Kyndal Yaross and Preslielynn Barraza, have been named to the Second Team All-Conference for NJCAA Region 14, recognizing their outstanding performances during the 2025 season.

#17 Kyndal Yaross, a sophomore, delivered a strong all-around season. She posted a .329 batting average, tallied 5 home runs and 21 RBIs, and demonstrated defensive consistency with a .933 fielding percentage.
