Whatley Center to host Mount Pleasant Art Society Show
The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Art Department will host the Mount Pleasant Art Society Annual Membership Show March 10-30 in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The competitive show features artwork from a variety of local artists. A reception will be held Saturday, March 10 from 2:00-3:30 p.m., where the winners will be announced. The gallery is open Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. Please call 903-434-8181 to ensure that the gallery is open before you come to visit.
Morris County Retired Teachers give $500 to ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Work Scholarship Program
The Retired Teachers Association of Morris County recently gave $500 to the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Foundation to support the Work Scholarship Program at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº. Their gift will be matched by a grant for a total impact of $1,000. The 5th Annual Engineering Roundtable at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº was held on Friday, February 2, 2018 in the Whatley Center Foyer on campus.†Since 2014, this event has become an annual opportunity for both students who are currently enrolled in the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº engineering program and students from area high schools who are interested in the field of engineering. Theatre Northeast hosts An Evening with Thornton Wilder
Theatre Northeast, the student theatre group of ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº, will host†An Evening with Thornton Wilder†March 1-4 at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Shows will be at 7:30 p.m. March 1-3 and a 2:05 p.m. matinee will be held on March 4.

Eagles Baseball beats Weatherford College 11-9
The†ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Eagles†baseball team beat Weatherford College 11-9 Wednesday in an away game. The Eagles managed through an early push by Weatherford in the first inning where ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº coughed up six runs, but came back to win 11-9.

Baseball splits doubleheader with Hutchinson
The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Eagles Baseball team split a double header with Hutchinson on Thursday. The Eagles won game one 7-1 and dropped the second game 9-7.

Continuing Education plans travel course
The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Continuing Education Department is planning a spring travel course to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens and the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum on Thursday, April 5.
