Ned and Margaret Muse, of Pittsburg, recently presented the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Foundation with a check for $2,100 to establish a new travel scholarship.

Jaidyn Taylor Thompson, of Jenkins in Morris County has become the 2020 Texas Heritage National Bank (THNB) Scholar of ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ. Chairman of the Board of THNB, John Bryan, made this official, 27 August. This $4,000 scholarship goes to a top Presidential Scholar of the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Honors Program. Thompson, will inherit this prestigious designation from other previous vanguard students of ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ: Mercedes Collins, now at Grand Canyon University in Arizona; Jordan Whelchel, now at Rice University; Cassidy Watkins, now working at the San Marcos Treatment Center, and Emmalea Shaw, now working toward her doctorate in physical therapy at the North Texas State medical campus in Fort Worth.

We are still in need of donations for The Eagle Food Pantry. All donations can be dropped off at my office.
The Office of Student Activities, Student Government Association, Social Work Club and The Wesley Fellowship Center are partnering together to host a campuswide food drive to support The Eagle Pantry. The food drive will be October 29-December 6, 2018.
