Students majoring in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science will learn parallel programming using the supercomputer.
Students will conduct high precision numerical analysis calculations and many-body simulations as part of physics and mathematics coursework.
Scientific Computational Techniques
Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science majors (and interested Engineering majors) that enroll in Scientific Computational Techniques will learn high speed efficient parallel programming techniques from Dr. Bouwens, Ph.D. Physicist.
Mr. Ellermann, Instructor of Physics, specializes in writing very fast programming code for very large scale many-body simulations (e.g. galaxy simulations).
Students will investigate real world physics problems with extremely large scale simulations.
