Work4College gears up for 11th summer program

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº is excited to kick off the 11th year of its innovative Work4College Program. After holding orientation sessions earlier this month, 81 students will start the program on June 9th.  Of that total, 64 students will be working on the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº campus and 17 more will be working at local high schools.

Foundation Receives $360,000 Gift from Sistrunk Estate

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº (ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº) Foundation has received a $360,000 gift from the estate of David and Pat Sistrunk. This generous contribution will establish the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Building Enhancement Fund, dedicated to supporting campus facility improvements and long-term infrastructure needs.​

Work4College Program receives $25,000 grant

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Foundation recently received a $25,000 grant from an anonymous foundation. Thanks to an additional matching grant opportunity, the funds will be doubled for a $50,000 impact. Work4College to receive $48,000 matching grant from Texas Pioneer Foundation

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Foundation recently learned that it will receive a matching grant for up to $48,000 from the Texas Pioneer Foundation. The money will be designated to provide matching funds for gifts to the Work4College program during East Texas Giving Day. David Sistrunk Memorial Work4College Scholarship gets $10,000 boost

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Foundation recently received a check for $10,000 from the estate of the late Pat Sistrunk. The funds will be added to the David Sistrunk Memorial Scholarship. This endowed scholarship is available for students who participate in the Work4College program. The unique Work4College program allows students to work at the college and other locations to contribute to their college expenses in advance.

Work4College application open for summer 2025

The Work4College Application is officially OPEN for the Summer of 2025! The Work4College Program is a great way to attend ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº without acquiring debt and experience hands-on learning by working in a department on campus. The application is available to fill out and submit online at . The deadline to apply is April 11, 2025. 

In the Work4College Program, students may work in a variety of roles, including:
• Assisting on the college farm Painting classrooms and dorm rooms 

Anonymous donor gives $10,000 to Work4College Program

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Foundation recently received $10,000 from an anonymous donor. The gift will be used to support the continued expansion of the Work4College Program into the Fall and Spring semesters. Whatley Employee Enhancement Grant winners announced

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Foundation is pleased to announce that eight ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº employees have been awarded funds through the 2023 Whatley Employee Enhancement Grant. The Foundation received 16 outstanding applications. A total of $13,039.99 was awarded through the grant or by additional private donors.

Work4College program expands to fall semester

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº (ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº) is pleased to announce that the Work4College Program has expanded from a summer-only initiative to a year-round opportunity. This innovative program now offers students valuable work experience throughout the academic year.

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº proudly introduces the inaugural fall semester participants: Pablo Badillo-Navarro, Juan Benzor, Collin Pressgrove, and Ethan Wagner. These students are already making a positive impact on campus through various beautification projects, creating a more vibrant environment for the entire ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº community.
