Biology research project moves to Sabine River

Dr. Chris T. McAllister, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Biology, and two ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº independent study students, Gracie Gray and Stephanie Hernandez and Dr. McAllister's son, Nikolas, traveled to near Hawkins, Texas, to survey fish parasites from the Sabine River. 

Dr. McAllister received an ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº grant to study fish parasites in NE Texas waters. They were joined by UT-Tyler biology faculty, Dr. Lance Williams and his wife, Marsha Williams, and two

Kids Baseball Camp planned for August 30-31

Young baseball players are invited to join the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Eagles for a fun-filled Baseball Kids Camp happening August 30-31 at Eagle Field at Bob Baker Stadium.

Designed for children ages 5 to 12, the two-day camp will provide a mix of skill-building instruction and high-energy fun, all led by ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº baseball players.

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº (ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº) is now welcoming students to join the Eagle Senate Student Government Association (SGA) for the upcoming Fall 2025 semester.

The Eagle Senate is ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôºâ€™s official student leadership team, offering students a chance to build leadership skills, plan campus events, and connect with others across campus. All currently enrolled students are eligible to join—no elections required.

Biology department continues research project in Arkansas

Dr. Chris T. McAllister, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Biology, and two ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº independent study students, Gracie Gray and Stephanie Hernandez traveled to the Ozarks at Clinton, Arkansas, July 14-18, 2025, and continued their novel research on fish parasites.  They were joined by Dr. Steve Chordas, III., from Ohio State University, an expert on true bugs (Hemiptera).
