The ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ Athletic Department will host a First Responders Appreciation Day on Saturday, April 26, 2025. ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ Baseball will be hosting Angelina College that day in a double header game starting at 1:00pm.

First Responders will get in free, receive a free hot dog, chips and a drink as well as be recognized prior to the first pitch. Just bring you badge or work ID or official department gear to receive free admission and the free snacks. 

The ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ (��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ) Baseball Team is proud to announce the generous support of , whose recent donation has made it possible to purchase and install a brand-new scoreboard at Eagle Field.

This meaningful contribution will significantly enhance the game-day experience for players, fans, and the local community. The new scoreboard not only improves functionality and visibility but also represents a renewed investment in the future of ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ Athletics.

Each spring, the Texas Junior College Agriculture Association (TJCAA) hosts one of the most anticipated events of the year for community college ag students across the state. This year’s conference and competition, held April 2–4 at Texas A&M University–Kingsville, was no exception—and ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ (��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ) was proud to be well represented by an incredible group of students who brought their passion, knowledge, and teamwork to South Texas.

Two ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ Honor Societies gathered in the Community Room on Monday, April 14th to induct new members. Sigma Kappa Delta inducted five members and Phi Theta Kappa inducted 24.  to view/download event photos.

The ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ Foundation recently received a $25,000 gift from the Carroll Shelby Foundation. Pictured receiving the donation (from left) is Nita May, ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ Director of Development and Dr. Jon McCullough, ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ Executive Vice President for Advancement. The funds will be used to support ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ’s Carroll Shelby Automotive Program.

The ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ Foundation recently received a $25,000 grant from an anonymous foundation. Thanks to an additional matching grant opportunity, the funds will be doubled for a $50,000 impact. ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ will host a Life Share Blood Drive on Tuesday, April 15th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Student Union Building Room 101 (SUB 101). The ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ community is invited to roll up their sleeves and help us reach our new goal of 25 donations!

As part of ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ’s Mardi Gras Madness celebration, the Office of Student Development hosted its first-ever Mardi Gras Sock Drive—and the campus community delivered in a big way.

Thanks to the generosity of students, staff, and campus organizations, 233 pairs of new socks were collected for Greenhill Villas of Mount Pleasant, a local care facility. Socks are one of the most requested yet often overlooked items in such facilities, and this donation will help bring much-needed comfort and warmth to residents.

The Northeast Texas Career Alliance (NTCA) is a collaborative pilot program uniting five school districts, ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ (��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ), and local industry partners to offer specialized career pathways for students. This innovative program gives access to high-demand fields designed to meet the evolving needs of Northeast Texas industries. 

Dr. Chris McAllister (pictured above), ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ Professor of Biology, attended the 108th meeting of the Arkansas Academy of Science (AAS) at Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas, April 4-5, 2025. 

Dr. Mac presented two oral presentations as well as two posters. He has been attending the AAS meeting since 1978 when he presented his first paper at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville.  He served as Managing Editor of the journal from 2006-2008.
