Fall 2012 Academic Honors

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº is pleased to recognize students who excelled academically in Fall 2012. To be named to the Academic Honors list, a student must have taken 12 or more hours and earned at least a 3.5 grade point average. To be named to the Special Academic Merit List, a student must have taken between seven and 11 hours and earned a 4.0 grade point average.

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº holds winter 2012 commencement

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº held its winter 2012 commencement ceremony at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, Dec. 14. During the ceremony 103 students were awarded associate degrees and 77 earned certificates of competency in their chosen fields. John Russo, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº adjunct faculty member in history, gave the commencement address. Chelsea Cates, of Pittsburg, delivered the student response. A special presentation was made to LaSonya Feltus, who received a†posthumous†degree on behalf of her late husband, Edd Feltus.

SIFE to host 5K run/walk at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº

The†Students In Free Enterprise†(SIFE) organization at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº will host a 5K Reindeer Run/Walk event on Saturday, Dec. 8th. The run will be held on the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº campus and begins at 8 a.m.

Registration will be held in front of†the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº campus from 7:00-7:30 a.m. The cost to participate is $25 for all ages, and includes a t-shirt and a pancake breakfast after the run.

Registration underway at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº



Registration for the spring 2013 semester is currently underway at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº. Students may also register for the holiday intersession term.




Intersession classes are December 17 through January 7. Both online and face-to-face courses are available. These intensive classes allow dedicated students to earn full college credit in about 12 class days. Spring 2013 classes begin on Monday, Jan.

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Welder's Association to hold trailer drawing

† † †The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Welder's Association will hold a drawing for a 16' tandem axle angle top trailer on February 7. 2013. This trailer was built by ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº students and materials were donated by local businesses. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Contact Marcos Sanchez at 903-767-6537 or stop by the welding shop to purchase chances.
