The sixth annual ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº McGraw-Hill poster contest will be held on†Friday, April 26 at 9:30 a.m. in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The contest is open to all ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº and area high school students.†

Those who wish to enter should submit a 75+ word abstract to Dr. Andrew Yox, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Honors Director, by April 24.

CAPPED event brings high school seniors to ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº

Communities In Schools (CIS) brought about 240 high school students to the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº campus on March 21†for CAPPED (Certificate and Professional Programs Exploration Day).†

CAPPED @ ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº †is a program designed to bring high school students to ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº to learn about programs available to expedite their entry into professional careers in the workplace.† It also allows ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº faculty to showcase their programs.

Phi Theta Kappa presents report at March board meeting

Dr. Melissa Weinbrenner, advisor for the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, presented a report to the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº board of trustees Tuesday night. She shared that ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº's Alpha Mu Chi Chapter recently won 19 awards at the 2013 Texas Regional Convention in Dallas in addition being elected District III Vice President.
