The maintenance staff at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ has been busy this semester as a series of water system breakdowns plague the college. Since mid-August, the main campus has been forced to go without water five times due to leaks in its aging water system. Outages have varied from a few hours to more than half a day.

On the morning of Fall Inservice (the one day when all college faculty/staff gather to prepare for the new school year) a major water system break took out the entire campus, leaving the college without running water, working restrooms, and cafeteria services.

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ is pleased to announce that Heidi Wooten, Associate Professor of Economics, has been recognized with a 2013 Outstanding Distance Learning Faculty Award.

Ten educators across Northeast Texas were awarded with this annual recognition by the Northeast Texas Consortium of Colleges and Universities at its annual conference at Stephen F.

Congratulations to Clayton Echerd (pictured with Alex Ortega) for winning the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ drawing for a Nexus 7 tablet at the Titus County Fair. Clayton is a junior at Mount Pleasant High School who plans to attend the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ culinary program after graduation. Many thanks to the students, faculty and staff members who helped out at the college fair booth.
