��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ offers an Emergency Alert Notification System that keeps ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ students, faculty, and staff informed in case of emergency situations. These alerts are used for urgent information ONLY (including safety drills, campus closures, weather notifications, or other potentially hazardous situations).†It was recently brought to our attention that some students do not receive alerts on their desired phone number or e-mail address.

The ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ Culinary Arts Program will host its second special Dinner Night of the semester on Thursday, Feb. 20. This event will be held at the ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ Culinary Arts School in historic downtown Pittsburg and is open to the public.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and seating will begin at 6 p.m.

Butterflies Are Free, by Leonard Gershe, opens February 27 at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ campus. In this Tony Award-winning comedy, a young blind man and the free-spirited girl-next-door discover the values of self-reliance and dependence.

The play, performed by Theatre Northeast, centers on Don Baker, a Greenwich Village newcomer who struggles to create an independent life for himself apart from his family in Scarsdale.

All ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ locations will close at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11 due to winter weather. Food services WILL †be available to students who live on campus. The Mt. Pleasant Daily Tribune political forum that was scheduled for tonight is also cancelled.

��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ will continue to monitor the weather and will announce any further closures by 6 a.m. tomorrow if necessary.

The ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ Eagles baseball and softball games scheduled for Wednesday have been postponed.

��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ celebrated the service of Bill Priefert, a long-time member of the ��ɫ����������ƵӰԺ board of Trustees, with a retirement reception on Tuesday, Feb. 4. Priefert, of Mount Pleasant, recently retired from the board after 11 years of service.
