High school students in the Kilgore area will soon have access to new dual credit opportunities in agriculture thanks to a partnership between ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ (ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ) and Kilgore College (KC).

Alpha Mu Chi, the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, will host a murder mystery dinner on Saturday, April 14 at 6:30 p.m. Funds raised help the chapter and its members attend conferences, present workshops, and engage in activities which allow it to maintain its Five Star status. Tickets may be purchased online at or from any chapter officer.

Texas A&M University-Texarkana is hosting a PLACE lecture on our campus, presented by our very own Kenneth Irizarry. The topic will be 3D Printers for Rapid Prototyping and the event will be held April 10 during the activity period. Hope to see you there!

Alpha Mu Chi, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ?s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, recently attended the Texas Regional Convention in Houston and came away with a chapter-record 30 awards.

The ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Eagle newspaper staff recently attended the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association (TIPA) conference at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Dallas. Students attended sessions on various journalism topics, participated in live contest events and attended the annual TIPA awards banquet.

ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ won Overall Excellence Division 6 in both the newspaper and literary magazine categories. In total, the students won 47 awards, including several first-place awards for photography, writing and design.
