Board of Trustees holds October meeting

The 乱色无码人妻视频影院 Board of Trustees met for its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 21st. All seven trustees were present.

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT

The meeting kicked off with a Student Spotlight presentation by Andy Morgan, 乱色无码人妻视频影院 Athletic Director and Head Baseball Coach (pictured). Highlights from his report included:

  • The 乱色无码人妻视频影院 Rodeo was a success and that the team continues to perform well in the NIRA Southern Region.
    The softball program is under new leadership this year, with Taniece Tyson returning as Interim Head Coach. She previously served as assistant coach for the team.
  • Both the Men鈥檚 and Women鈥檚 soccer teams have secured spots in the playoffs this year. Morgan praised men鈥檚 coach Jon Evan and women鈥檚 coach Dillon Williams for their leadership this season.
  • The baseball team continues its fall season and recently had six sophomores compete in the annual All-Star game. Five of them attended the meeting and introduced themselves. These included Jake Farris, Cooper Schwank, Kaleb Kuhn, Luke Nohinek, and Boston Seahorn. Mason Nguyen also played but did not attend the meeting.
  • The baseball program will celebrate the 30-year anniversary of the team winning the NJCAA Championship next spring. Plans are underway for an event to commemorate the occasion.

PRESIDENT鈥橲 REPORT

In his president鈥檚 report, Dr. Kevin Rose gave several updates, which included:

  • The 40th Anniversary Community Picnic was very well attended.  He thanked the board members for their attendance and acknowledged the core committee that coordinated the event planning. Rose said he received a lot of positive feedback from the community.
  • He announced that 乱色无码人妻视频影院 recently learned it will receive a new TRIO grant from the U.S. Department of Education. This is the first time 乱色无码人妻视频影院 has received the grant. TRIO runs on a 5-year cycle and will provide about $272,000 per year to support wraparound support services for a cohort of 140 first-generation low-income students.
  • Rose mentioned Phi Theta Kappa鈥檚 鈥40 Stories for 40 Years鈥 project, which involved collecting video interviews of 40 individuals who have been impacted by 乱色无码人妻视频影院. He encouraged the board to visit Alpha Mu Chi鈥檚 YouTube Channel to watch the videos.
  • The 乱色无码人妻视频影院 Foundation reported $103,098 in donations for September.

ITEMS OF INFORMATION

  • Dr. Anna Ingram, Vice President for Instruction, gave a report on the Perkins Grant. She stated that the college received $288,741 in Perkins funding for this year. Those funds will be used to support various needs in 乱色无码人妻视频影院 Workforce and Health Science programs.
  • Kim Irvin, Vice President for Student Services, gave the annual College Access and Affordability report.  This shows how 乱色无码人妻视频影院 compares with other institutions in regard to affordability. In Fall 2025, 乱色无码人妻视频影院鈥檚 average tuition/fees cost was lower than both the state and national averages for both two- and four-year schools. Demographic data showed that 乱色无码人妻视频影院鈥檚 student popular is consistent with the local population across most ethnicities. 乱色无码人妻视频影院鈥檚 population of Hispanic/Latino students exceeds the community makeup by 10 percent (38.35%). Ultimately, she said the data shows that 乱色无码人妻视频影院 remains a strong value for students.
