Dr. James "Jim" Richey, Jr.

From ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº '90 to Dean of Humanities, Communications and Fine Arts at Tyler Junior College, Jim's journey is one of passion and dedication.

  • Inspired by greats like Dr. Larry Thompson, Dr. Ron Cowan, and Dr. Ron Clinton, Jim's ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº days set the stage for his career. With his wife Toni, he founded The Eagle, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº's award-winning newspaper! 

  • Transitioning from a focus on music to becoming an educator, his commitment to excellence never wavered. 

  • Now a published author and award-winning educator, Jim's advice to students? Treat college like a cherished job!
