ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº and Texas A&M University-Texarkana officials signed an articulation agreement today at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº, formalizing a partnership benefiting students who wish to attain baccalaureate degrees.
The agreement creates a seamless transition for students enrolled in†ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº?s†Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist Assistant, Community Health and Funeral Services programs to transfer to Texas A&M University-Texarkana?s Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences program.
?We have a longstanding relationship with A&M-Texarkana that has helped many of our students continue their education after graduating from ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº. We are very pleased to partner with them to provide even more opportunities for our students,? Dr. Brad Johnson, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº President, said.
Officials say the agreement was designed to encourage students to complete an entire associate degree at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº before transferring to A&M-Texarkana.
?From the A&M-Texarkana perspective, this is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº for the benefit of students and the region,? said A&M-Texarkana President Dr. Emily Cutrer. ?This type of partnership ensures that our students have a clear path to achieve their higher education goals.?
?Once again ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº and A&M-Texarkana's staff and faculty are collaborating to offer more higher education opportunities for students to continue to pursue their higher education degree goals at the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº campus,? said Kelly Coke, program director at A&M-Texarkana at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº. ?Once students complete their associate degree in one of the respective allied health areas with ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº, we want them to contact the A&M-Texarkana at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº Center to take the next step in earning a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree with A&M-Texarkana. The A&M-Texarkana at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓÆµÓ°Ôº team is happy and ready to assist future students in this life-changing journey.
