ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ and Texas A&M University-Texarkana officials signed an articulation agreement today at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ, formalizing a partnership benefiting students who wish to attain baccalaureate degrees.
The agreement creates a seamless transition for students enrolled in†ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ?s†Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist Assistant, Community Health and Funeral Services programs to transfer to Texas A&M University-Texarkana?s Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences program.
?We have a longstanding relationship with A&M-Texarkana that has helped many of our students continue their education after graduating from ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ. We are very pleased to partner with them to provide even more opportunities for our students,? Dr. Brad Johnson, ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ President, said.
Officials say the agreement was designed to encourage students to complete an entire associate degree at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ before transferring to A&M-Texarkana.
?From the A&M-Texarkana perspective, this is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ for the benefit of students and the region,? said A&M-Texarkana President Dr. Emily Cutrer. ?This type of partnership ensures that our students have a clear path to achieve their higher education goals.?
?Once again ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ and A&M-Texarkana's staff and faculty are collaborating to offer more higher education opportunities for students to continue to pursue their higher education degree goals at the ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ campus,? said Kelly Coke, program director at A&M-Texarkana at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ. ?Once students complete their associate degree in one of the respective allied health areas with ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ, we want them to contact the A&M-Texarkana at ÂÒÉ«ÎÞÂëÈËÆÞÊÓƵӰԺ Center to take the next step in earning a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree with A&M-Texarkana.
